To sound impressive, beginners round "some customers" up to "everyone" or claim a trend they can't back. Good reporters verify, and one shaky claim kills the whole quote.

Think of it like one wobbly leg sinking the whole table.

1. Only state what you can actually support if asked.
2. Use honest hedges where needed: "in our experience," "for the clients we've seen."
3. If you cite a number, be ready to say where it came from.

Reporters protect their credibility fiercely. A source who's careful and honest becomes a go-to. A source who oversells gets quietly blacklisted.

Try this today: Re-read a recent claim you made. Could you defend it with real evidence in one email? If not, soften it to what's true.
