End posts with a question or a statement?
Q: "To get comments, should I ask a question at the end or make a bold statement?"
Short answer: questions for easy replies, statements for strong ones.
Ending on a question ("What would you add?") lowers the bar to comment, so you get more replies. Good early on when you want volume and momentum. The risk: lazy questions feel like engagement-bait and people sense it.
Ending on a clear statement or opinion sparks fewer but stronger comments, because people reply to agree, disagree, or add a story. That's the kind of discussion that makes a post travel.
The best questions are specific and tied to experience ("What's the worst client red flag you ignored?"), not generic prompts.
Try this today: rewrite a flat "thoughts?" ending into one specific, experience-based question.
