Open rate or click rate — which one should I actually trust?
Open rate = how many opened. Click rate = how many clicked a link inside.
Why it matters: opens are now unreliable. Apple privacy features auto-"open" emails, so your open rate can look fake-high. Clicks mean someone really acted.
— Step 1: Use open rate as a loose hint, not gospel — watch the trend, not the exact number.
— Step 2: Judge your real performance by clicks: did people do the thing you asked?
— Step 3: ✅ Put one clear link or button in every email so clicks are easy to measure.
Homework: find your last email's click rate. That's your honest scoreboard.
