Single opt-in or double opt-in: which should I pick?
Opt-in is just how someone joins your list. Single = they type their email and they're in. Double = they also click a "yes, confirm" link in a follow-up email.
Why it matters: double opt-in throws away typos and fake addresses, so your list stays clean and inboxes trust you more.
— Step 1: New sender with a small list? Use double opt-in to build trust from day one.
— Step 2: Running a giveaway or freebie where speed matters? Single can work, but watch your bounces.
— Step 3: ✅ Seeing lots of bounced or dead emails? Switch to double opt-in this week.
Homework: open your signup form settings and check which one you're using right now.
New here? Start with the basics above.
