Deleting flops is training the algo against you
JUST IN (Confirmed pattern): mass-deleting posts that underperform doesn't reset anything — it signals an account that churns content, and rapid delete-and-repost looks like manipulation to spam systems.
The failure mode: poster sees a flop, panics, deletes within minutes, reposts a tweaked version. Now two near-identical posts hit the dedup filter.
The fix:
— Leave flops up; they cost you nothing once the distribution window closes
— If reposting, wait 24h+ and change the hook materially, not one word
What it means for your reach: the algorithm rewards consistency of output, not a curated graveyard.
