A CEO went from sporadic to 3x/week ghostwritten posts. Inbound from posts rose 4x in 6 months.
The question: does consistent executive posting compound, and how long before it shows in pipeline?
The case: a B2B CEO shifted from ~2 posts/month (self-written, erratic) to 3x/week (ghostwritten from interviews, consistent voice) for 6 months. They tracked follower growth, reach, and inbound opportunities that named a post. Sample: one executive, monthly cohorts.
Three findings:
— Months 1–2 showed almost nothing — reach was flat, a common false-failure window that kills programs early.
— Reach inflected around month 3 as the algorithm and audience adjusted, ending ~3.5x the starting baseline.
— Inbound opportunities mentioning a post rose ~4x by month 6, lagging reach by roughly a month.
Limitations: single executive, no control, and the firm grew overall that period — so company momentum is confounded with posting. Directional.
What it means for B2B: executive presence is a compounding asset with a 60–90 day dead zone; judging it at week 4 guarantees a false negative.
Bottom line: consistency plausibly drove a 4x inbound lift — but only for those who survived the flat first two months.
