A team built an internal ops tool on Softr over Airtable, hit 50k rows, and queries crawled to 8 seconds.
Softr plus Airtable shipped a usable ops dashboard in a week, genuinely impressive. Then the dataset grew past Airtable's comfortable range; list views with filters took 6 to 8 seconds, and the per-record API limits throttled syncs. They moved the data to Postgres and rebuilt the UI in a proper internal-tool platform. Same screens now load in under 500ms with 200k rows. Airtable-backed no-code is brilliant up to a few thousand rows and a cliff after. Match the backend to the data, not to the demo dataset.
