Rank Math vs Yoast for winning rich results on a recipe site
I tested both on a real WordPress recipe blog, swapping plugins for a month each.
Rank Math
➕ Built-in Recipe + FAQ + HowTo schema, no add-on; validated clean in the Rich Results Test
➖ Settings sprawl — easy to enable conflicting schema
Yoast
➕ Cleaner default schema graph (@id wiring is excellent)
➖ Recipe schema needs a separate plugin; FAQ block was deprecated
The case: under Yoast, 0 recipe rich snippets. Switched to Rank Math, added Recipe schema to 60 posts. 5 weeks later, 41 of 60 showed star ratings in SERPs and CTR on those pages rose from 2.1% to 4.8% — clicks nearly doubled with rankings unchanged.
Best for: Rank Math for breadth of built-in schema types.
Price-vs-value: Rank Math's free tier covered recipe schema; Yoast needed paid add-ons.
Pick Rank Math if rich results are the goal.
Skip the plugin swap if your theme already hard-codes valid schema.
