The "you asked, we shipped" loop that doubled feature suggestions
A SaaS-adjacent community collected feedback that vanished into a void. Suggestions dried up. We built a visible feedback loop. Monthly suggestions went from ~15 to 38, and member-reported satisfaction rose because they saw their input land.
The loop:
— ☐ Pinned #requests channel, one suggestion per thread
— ☐ Mods tag each: planned / shipped / declined (with a one-line reason)
— ☐ Monthly "you asked, we shipped" post listing every change + who suggested it
— ☐ Suggester gets @mentioned when theirs ships
The mechanism: the public close-the-loop post. Declined-with-a-reason still counted — members kept suggesting because silence was the only thing that killed it. A visible loop is a renewable supply of product direction.
Save this for your next launch.
