Q: For shoppable posts, does polished studio content or rough creator footage convert better?

Q: For shoppable posts, does polished studio content or rough creator footage convert better?

A: A beauty brand ran both against the same product tag. Their glossy studio ad converted tag-taps to sales at 2.1%. A creator's phone-shot 'getting ready with me' clip, same product, converted at 5.3% — over 2x.

Why: in a shopping feed, native-looking content reads as a recommendation, while studio polish reads as an ad people instinctively skip. The rough footage felt like a friend showing you something. UGC = user-generated content, filmed by a real creator, not a studio.

Also worth knowing: it's not 'always go rough.' For high-ticket items, polish rebuilt trust. The cheap impulse buys won with raw creator footage.
