Vague headline vs specific outcome: +38%
Day 1: 'Grow your business faster.' Day 10: 'Get 3x more replies from cold email.' Same product underneath.
Setup. Landing page H1. Control = the vague growth line. Variant = the specific, almost-too-narrow outcome. 4,400 sessions, even split.
Result. Signups 3.0% to 4.15%, +38%. 'Grow faster' could be anything, so it's nothing. The specific claim self-selected the right buyer AND felt provable.
Scary part: the specific headline felt 'too niche' to my gut. Gut was wrong. Narrow converted harder.
Go rewrite your H1 from a vague benefit to one specific, numbered outcome. Get uncomfortably precise. Report back.
