Client wanted 'more content = more traffic.' We tested it clean: went from 4 posts/mo to 8 for one quarter, same writers, same topics pool.
What actually happened:
— Total indexed pages up, sure
— But avg post quality dipped, and 6 of the new 12 never cracked page 3
— Meanwhile our refresh program (paused to free up time) stalled
Net organic traffic gain: +9%. The 4-post months with active refreshing had been doing +14%.
Cadence isn't free. Velocity without quality just makes index bloat. We went back to 4 + refresh.
