Refreshed a dying post by rewriting ONLY the intro + date. +62% clicks.
Post from 2 years back, sliding from position 6 to 11. Didn't touch the body. Spent 40 minutes:
— Rewrote the first 80 words to answer the query in sentence one
— Updated the publish date and one stat in the opening
— Swapped the title to match the exact query pulling impressions
Re-indexed it via Search Console. Two weeks later: position 6.4, clicks up 62%.
The body was fine. Google just needed a freshness signal and a tighter hook. Cheapest win I ran all quarter.
