SOP #51 — The Live Screen-Share That Exposed a $3k/mo Lie
Seller sent polished revenue screenshots for a $130k store. We require live verification. Procedure:
1. Book a recorded screen-share — seller logs into the live dashboard, not a saved PDF.
2. Have them filter the date range live to trailing 12 months. Watch for edited-looking numbers.
3. Click into 3 random individual transactions — confirm they are real orders with real customers.
4. Cross-reference the dashboard total against the bank deposit and processor payout for the same month. All three must match within 3%.
Outcome: dashboard showed $11k/mo. Bank deposits averaged $8k/mo. The $3k gap was test orders and refunded transactions left in the gross figure. Repriced down $108k. The screenshots were technically real and completely misleading.
Save this — run it every deal.
