A SaaS marketing site moved off Webflow to Astro and cut load time from 4.1s to 0.7s.
The team was paying $39/mo for a CMS plan and still shipping a 2.3MB DOM full of div soup. They rebuilt the same eight pages in Astro, kept the content in markdown, and deployed to Cloudflare Pages for free. Largest Contentful Paint dropped from 4.1s to 0.7s, organic signups rose 18% in two months, and hosting went to $0. Same designer, same content, no Webflow tax. The 'no-code saves engineering time' math only works until your traffic makes performance a revenue line.
