Q: My conversions have been stuck in 'pending manual review' for two weeks. Is that normal or am I being stalled?
A: Usually normal, occasionally worth a nudge — and the offer type tells you which. Don't assume you're being stalled until you know the baseline.
Manual review exists because automated checks can't decide every conversion. A human looks when the system is uncertain: borderline fraud scores, high-value payouts, new partners without a track record, or regulated verticals requiring document checks. Pending isn't rejection; it's a queue.
Normal review windows vary widely:
— Simple lead-gen: hours to a few days.
— Finance and crypto with KYC: 1-4 weeks is routine, since they're waiting on the user to verify, not on you.
— Trials that convert to paid: held until the trial-to-paid window closes (could be 30+ days by design).
So two weeks on a KYC-heavy offer is unremarkable. Two weeks on a basic email submit is worth asking about.
When you do ask, request the specific holdup: 'are these awaiting user KYC, or awaiting your team's review?' That one question tells you whether the delay is on the user, the advertiser, or genuinely stalled.
Short version: pending is a queue, not a no. Compare your wait to the offer's normal window before worrying, then ask what specifically is being waited on.
