Replying to every comment doesn't "boost" the post the way you think
Everyone says: "Reply to all your comments fast — it doubles your engagement and pumps reach."
The claim: author replies are bonus engagement that re-trigger distribution.
What's actually true: there's a real but smaller effect than the folklore claims. Author replies do count as engagement and can keep a thread warm, which modestly extends the post's life — fine, that part holds. But ten "Thanks Sarah!" replies are weak signals that mostly pad a number; the lift comes from replies that provoke the commenter to respond again, restarting a real conversation. Volume of replies is noise. Replies that reignite a thread are the actual lever.
It's not that you replied. It's whether they replied back.
