Saves are quietly worth more than likes, and people ignore them
Everyone says: "Likes and comments are the engagement that drives reach."
The claim: the visible reactions are the whole game.
What's actually true: a save is a high-intent signal — someone deciding your post is worth returning to — and it tends to correlate with the longest-tail distribution, because the platform reads it as durable value. Yet almost nobody designs for saves. A like is a reflex; a save means you made something referenceable. Build posts people file away — a checklist, a teardown, a numbered framework — and you earn the engagement type that's hardest to fake in a pod.
It's not the likes. It's whether anyone bookmarked you.
