Tutorials should be slower, not faster, and the "pacing" crowd ruined them.
Applying entertainment pacing to a how-to is sabotage. Someone following along needs to pause, do, return, and your frantic jump-cut edit makes that impossible, so they leave to find a video they can actually keep up with. The retention killer isn't slowness. It's outrunning the viewer's hands.
Match the pace to the task, not the trend. Friction is the feature here.
