The Member Referral Loop
Your best growth channel is members inviting members — but it only compounds if you build the loop deliberately instead of hoping people share.
The loop spec:
☐ Trigger — fire the ask right after a member hits a win (got value = ready to share)
☐ Make the ask specific: "who do you know wrestling with [exact problem]?"
☐ Give a frictionless artifact — a one-line invite they can paste, not "tell your friends"
☐ Close the loop — when their invite joins, tell the referrer
☐ Tag prolific referrers for the ambassador ladder
The timing is everything. Asking at signup gets nothing; asking after a win converts.
Measure: percent of new members who came via an existing member. Above 30 percent and your loop is self-sustaining; below 10 percent, your ask is mistimed or missing.
