People Also Ask is not your FAQ section
Today's lesson: beginners assume the People Also Ask questions — the expandable questions mid-page — come from website FAQ sections. They don't. Google generates these from what real searchers actually type and click next.
Think of it like a suggestion box at a restaurant. The questions come from diners, not from the menu.
Why this changes how you use them:
1. Treat them as live audience research, not as a list to copy.
2. Notice the wording — "is X worth it," "X vs Y," "how much does X cost." That phrasing is gold.
3. Build content around the questions people genuinely ask, even if they feel obvious to you.
The expert's curse is skipping basic questions. People Also Ask reminds you what beginners still wonder.
Try this: search a topic you know cold. Read the People Also Ask questions and find one you'd never think to answer. 🎓
