'Transparency' only flows downhill
Hot take: platforms demand total transparency from advertisers — full disclosure, verified identity, traceable funds — while running the most opaque black-box auction in commercial history. You must explain yourself; they explain nothing.
You never see the real reserve price, the quality-score math, or why your competitor outbids you with worse creative. Transparency is a one-way mirror they hold up to you while standing behind it.
The asymmetry isn't an oversight. Information you can't see is the house's edge.
