Nightly backups on a store doing 200 orders a day means a crash at 11pm costs you a full day of orders, customer details, and inventory state. That's not a technical loss, that's a P&L line.
Match frequency to how fast you generate irreplaceable data. Transactional DB? Continuous or hourly. Static brochure site? Weekly is fine.
Stop backing up everything at the same interval. A blog post and a payment record are not the same risk.
Nightly-everything is laziness with a price tag. Fight me.
