Here's the part nobody tells beginners: exclusivity isn't a favor you give. It's a product you sell.
<b>What it is</b> — an exclusivity premium is the extra money you charge for agreeing not to work with competitors.
<b>Why it matters</b> — saying no to other brands costs you future income. That cost should land on the brand asking, not on you.
<b>Simple example</b> — base post is $500. They want 3 months of category exclusivity. A common add-on is 20-30% per month, so roughly $300-$450 extra.
<b>Your move</b> — when exclusivity comes up, reply warmly: "Happy to, exclusivity is a separate line. For 3 months, that's +$X." Never give it free.
