Ok so auto ads ignore your good judgment and will stack 6 units on a 500-word page because it just looks for whitespace. That's the 'ad density above content ratio' policy trap.
Google flagged one of my pages for too many ads relative to text.
— set a max ad count in auto ads settings (yes, that slider exists)
— capped it at 4 for thin pages
— warning cleared, RPM only dropped 3%
The density slider is your friend. Most never touch it. Steal it.
