Q: My Exploration report and my standard report show different numbers for the same metric — which is right?
A: Both are 'right'; they're built differently, so reconcile the inputs.
— Standard reports read from pre-aggregated tables (no sampling, but limited cardinality and (other) rows). Explorations query event-level data and can sample.
— Default date ranges differ: many standard reports default to 28 days, Explorations to whatever you last set.
— High-cardinality dimensions in standard reports collapse into '(other)', deflating totals; Explorations don't do that.
Match the date range, remove sampling by narrowing dates, and ignore '(other)' when comparing.
TL;DR: Aggregated vs event-level. Align dates and watch for '(other)' and sampling.
