This trips up nearly everyone. There are two different ways a picture attaches to a post.

An inline image is one you drop into the middle of your writing. It appears exactly where you put it.

A featured image is the official "cover photo" for the whole post. You set it in a box on the right side, usually labeled "Featured image." It shows up in your blog list, in previews, and when someone shares your post on social media.

Why it matters: skip the featured image and your shared links look bare and unclickable.

How: write your post, then find the "Set featured image" box on the right and pick one photo.
