Is it true that if the content is good enough, traffic will just come?
Q: I keep hearing "great content markets itself." So I just need to publish quality, right?
A: Short answer: no — "build it and they will come" is the myth that sinks the most good sites. Longer answer: quality is necessary but not sufficient. Search rewards pages that get engagement, links, and signals of trust, and brand-new content has none of that yet. Plenty of genuinely excellent posts die in obscurity because nobody pushed them out the door. The fix isn't gaming anything — it's basic distribution: share it where your audience already gathers, build a few relevant links, point internal links at it, and get the first readers who validate it. Treat publishing as the halfway mark, not the finish line. Good content plus a real push beats great content alone.
Anyone want me to go deeper on this? React 👍
