Maxed vertical scaling and hit a ceiling? Go wide, not up.
Horizontal scaling (duplicating winners into new ad sets/audiences) buys you fresh auction lanes instead of bidding harder in the same one.
Spread clean:
— Clone the winning creative into 3 new ad sets with DIFFERENT audiences (interest, LAL, broad)
— Keep budgets equal so you can read which audience carries it
— Stagger launches 1 day apart so you don't flood your own auctions
— Kill any clone that's 30%+ over target after 50 conversions
You're not scaling one ad set, you're farming many small winners.
Risk: audience overlap makes clones cannibalize. Check overlap before you launch.
Clone ONE winner into 3 lanes. Read which audience actually carries the offer.
