He moved three words to the front of his pin titles
A travel blogger's pins read like captions: 'The most magical place we found in Portugal'. Pretty, but Pinterest search couldn't tell what they were about.
He rewrote 40 titles to front-load the search term: 'Portugal Travel Itinerary: 7 Days in the Algarve'. The hook moved into the description instead.
Over 90 days those 40 pins went from a combined 60,000 impressions to 185,000. Pinterest weights the first words of a title heavily, and 'Portugal Travel Itinerary' is a phrase people actually type — 'the most magical place' is not.
His voice survived in the description. Search just needed the keyword where it could see it first.
Takeaway: lead the title with what people search, save the personality for the description.
