Two ways LinkedIn charges you:
— CPC = cost per click. You pay only when someone clicks.
— CPM = cost per mille, meaning cost per 1,000 times your ad is shown ("mille" is Latin for thousand).

Think of it like a market stall: CPC is paying per customer who walks in, CPM is paying for foot traffic past your sign whether they look or not.

When to pick which:
— New campaign, unsure if people will click? Choose CPC. No clicks, no spend.
— Strong ad that gets lots of clicks already? CPM can be cheaper per click, because you're not paying a premium per action.

Start with CPC while you're learning what works.
