Myth: "A caching plugin will fix a slow website"
Caching means saving a ready-made copy of your page so it loads faster next time, instead of rebuilding it on every visit. A caching plugin does this for you, and people treat it as a magic speed button. It isn't.
Caching can't fix the real causes of slowness:
— Huge unoptimized images (a 5MB photo will always drag)
— Cheap overcrowded hosting
— A bloated theme doing too much
It's like putting a faster delivery service on a kitchen that cooks slowly. The food still takes ages to make.
Fix the root first:
— Shrink images before uploading (aim under 200KB each)
— Then add caching for the final polish
In plain words: caching speeds up a healthy site, it can't rescue a heavy one.
