Myth: "You need a page builder to make anything look good"
A page builder is a plugin that lets you design pages by dragging blocks around. They're popular, and beginners assume a site looks plain without one. Not anymore.
Modern WordPress comes with a built-in editor (called the block editor) that already drags and drops columns, buttons, and images. For many sites, it's all you need.
Why this matters: heavy page builders add a lot of extra code that can slow your pages and make switching themes painful later. You can get locked in.
Try the built-in editor first:
— Click "+" to add a block
— Use Columns, Cover, and Buttons blocks
— Preview before you reach for an add-on
In plain words: try the free built-in editor before paying for a page builder.
