Is a higher conversion rate always the better offer?
Q: Offer A converts at 12%, Offer B at 4%. A is obviously better, right?
A: Only if payouts match — and they rarely do. That 12% offer is probably a tiny payout (free trial, email submit); the 4% one might be a $90 sale. Run the EPC: 12% x $3 = $0.36; 4% x $90 = $3.60. Offer B earns you 10x more per click despite converting a third as often.
Conversion rate alone is a vanity metric. It feels good on a dashboard and tells you nothing about money until you multiply by payout and weigh approval/scrub rates.
Short version: a high conversion rate is meaningless without the payout beside it.
