Map pack is the 3-result local block on Google. If your contractor site wants calls, that box matters more than a blog post ranking on page two. SAB means service-area business: you do not serve customers at a storefront, but at their address. For roofers, plumbers, HVAC, this setup is common.
NAP is name, address, phone. Keep it identical across your website, GBP, citations, and invoices. Citation is any third-party mention of that NAP, with or without a link. Proximity is the distance between the searcher and your business or service area; it can decide who appears even when another profile has stronger reviews.
A GBP suspension usually comes from trust issues: mismatched NAP, fake address use, unsupported categories, or a profile that looks like a lead-gen shell. To reduce risk: use a real, consistent business identity; list only service areas you actually cover; match your website footer and contact page to GBP; and avoid stuffing city names into the business name.
If you manage local SEO for contractors, treat these terms as a checklist: visibility, service model, consistency, local proof, and compliance. If one piece is off, the whole profile gets weaker fast.
