A Lead Gen Form is a pop-up form inside LinkedIn that fills itself with the member's profile info. No landing page needed.

Think of it like a fast checkout that already knows your address — less typing, more finishing.

The magic only works if you pick fields LinkedIn can auto-fill: name, email, company, job title. Each one of those fills instantly.

The trap: adding a field LinkedIn can't fill, like "phone number" or a custom question. Now the member has to type, and many just close the form.

Rule of thumb: 3 to 4 auto-filled fields. Save the deep questions for your sales call.

<b>Why it matters:</b> Every manual field you add can cut your completion rate. Fewer fields, more leads.
