Engagement pods inflate the wrong number
Everyone says: "Join a pod, guarantee 30 comments in the first hour, ride the reach wave."
The claim: early engagement from pod members tricks the algorithm into broad distribution.
What's actually true: LinkedIn weights engagement by relevance and dwell of the engager, not raw count. A pod of 40 strangers in unrelated industries leaving "Great share!" sends a noisy, low-affinity signal — and the platform has gotten good at spotting reciprocal rings. Worse, your fake first-hour spike trains your own expectations, so you can't read what content actually lands. Real comments from your target buyer beat 30 from a Telegram pod.
It's not the volume. It's who, and whether they'd ever buy.
