The smart money sees these bio-link tools as cheap top-of-funnel — get creators in free, then upsell scheduling, a store, email capture, payments. Several have raised on "we're becoming the creator's home base," which is code for: the link page was never the business.
Why it matters: when your free bio tool ships a checkout and a CRM, expect the free tier to thin out. Lock in your custom domain now while migration is cheap.
