SOP: Asset naming and storage handoff
Run this whenever a creative, copy doc, or report is finished and needs to be found later.
Stage 1 — Name
— ☐ Use the convention: date_offer_angle_variant_size (Owner: creator)
— ☐ No spaces, no "final_v2_FINAL", no personal shorthand (Owner: creator)
— ☐ Date in YYYY-MM-DD so files sort chronologically (Owner: creator)
Stage 2 — Store
— ☐ Dropped in the canonical folder, not a chat or desktop (Owner: creator)
— ☐ Superseded versions moved to /archive, not deleted (Owner: creator)
Stage 3 — Handoff
— ☐ Link to the folder shared, not the file pasted into chat (Owner: creator)
— ☐ Receiver confirms they can open it (Owner: receiver)
Owner: Whoever created the asset
Trigger: Any asset marked finished
Done-when: The file is named to convention and the receiver confirms access.
The asset you can't find at 11pm doesn't exist. Save this. Run it every time.
