<b>"I follow every network policy, so my account is safe"</b>
Policy compliance and account safety overlap less than you'd hope.
Networks act on <i>signals</i>, not just rule violations: a sudden traffic spike from an unfamiliar source, a viewability dip, a click pattern that looks botty, an advertiser complaint. You can be 100% within the written rules and still get auto-flagged by a fraud model that doesn't read your intentions — only your metrics.
🚩 Hidden variable: the automated risk model sitting upstream of the policy page. It scores anomalies, and "anomalous" includes legitimate viral spikes and a competitor's bot attack on your pages.
Not saying policies don't matter — saying "I followed the rules" protects you from manual strikes, not from a statistical model that flags first and lets you explain later.
