That green checkmark is lying to you, and you keep believing it. The job ran. That's all it confirms. It does not verify the file opens, the archive isn't corrupt, the database is consistent, or the restore actually works. I've seen years of "successful" backups that were all 412-byte error pages, because nobody checked exit codes or file sizes. A success log validates the script, not the data. Add a checksum verify and a test-extract, or your monitoring is theater. Fight me in the comments.
