Developers love this myth. They dump the DB nightly, feel responsible, and forget that a running site is more than rows. Lose the box and you're still missing: uploaded media, .env secrets, config, cron jobs, SSL certs, queue state, custom server tweaks. You'll have a pristine database and no app to point it at, reassembling the server from memory for two days. A backup that can't reconstruct a working system isn't a backup, it's a souvenir.
