Read the results page to learn what Google wants
Today's lesson: the layout of a results page is a hint sheet. The mix of features tells you what kind of answer Google thinks searchers want — and your page should match that shape.
Think of walking into a bakery versus a hardware store. The shelves tell you instantly what's expected. The results page does the same.
Look before you write:
1. Lots of image packs and video carousels? People want to see, not just read — add visuals
2. A long People Also Ask list? It's a question topic — write clear question-and-answer sections
3. Shopping listings and prices? It's a buying search — a plain blog post won't fit there
Match the page's mood and you fit right in; fight it and you stay invisible.
Try this: search your target keyword and write one line: what kind of content does this results page clearly reward? 🎓
