Q: I heard turning off 'Google signals' fixes the (other) row hiding my data — true?
A: Half-myth. Disabling Google signals removes one trigger of data thresholding, but it does NOT remove thresholding itself.
— Admin → Data Settings → Data Collection → toggle off Google signals (kills demographics + cross-device too — real cost).
— Thresholding still fires on any report with sensitive dimensions (age, gender, interests) or very low user counts.
— The only true fix: query raw rows in the BigQuery export, where thresholding doesn't apply.
So flipping that switch trades features for a partial unmask, not a full one.
TL;DR: Google signals off ≠ thresholding off. BigQuery export is the actual escape hatch.
