Most outreach asks the editor to do work — pick a topic, schedule, wait for the draft. Friction kills it.

A tired solo-blogger sees zero work and free content. Easy yes.
Only do this for sites you'd happily land anyway — don't spec-write for dream targets. Closed 3 placements this way in a week. Done beats discussed. Go do it.
