Myth: "Stuff your main keyword into the web address for better rankings"

A permalink is just the web address of a page, like yoursite.com/best-coffee-makers. Old advice says cram your keyword in there many times. Don't.

Google stopped rewarding keyword-stuffed addresses years ago. A link like /best-coffee-makers-cheap-coffee-makers-buy-coffee looks like spam to both readers and search engines.

What actually helps:
— Keep addresses short, 3 to 5 words
— Remove filler words like "a", "the", "and"
— Set this once under Settings then Permalinks, choose "Post name"

One warning: changing permalinks on an old site breaks existing links unless you set up redirects (a redirect quietly sends visitors from the old address to the new one).

In plain words: short and clean beats keyword-stuffed every time.
