Crawl tools show your intended hierarchy — log files show Google's real one
Fight me: auditing internal links with a crawler alone tells you the structure you BUILT, not the one Google acts on. Server logs show which internal pages Googlebot actually hits most — and that frequency tracks how it weights internal importance. If your money page is linked everywhere but barely crawled, your link structure is failing in practice, not on paper.
Use Sitebulb/Frog for the blueprint. Use log file analysis to confirm the bot agrees. Mismatch = your links aren't landing.
When did you last cross-check your link graph against actual crawl frequency?
