High-ticket SaaS vs high-volume SaaS

High-ticket SaaS vs high-volume SaaS
Everyone says "go high-ticket, fewer sales for more money." Fewer sales also means thinner data and uglier variance.

High-ticket enterprise tool: big commission per deal, but a 3-month sales cycle, a buying committee, and a cookie window that almost never survives the decision. Your attribution expires before the contract signs.

High-volume SMB tool: small commissions, but fast decisions inside the cookie window, and enough conversions to actually optimize on.

The tradeoff:
— High-ticket: huge payouts, brutal attribution loss, statistically you're flying blind on 4 sales a month.
— High-volume: modest payouts, fast feedback, churn is your real enemy here.

Verdict: high-ticket pays beautifully on the deals that survive a cookie window built for impulse buys. Most won't. Don't confuse the payout size with the odds of getting it.
