Myth: "The more detailed the brief, the better the output."
A 9-page brief produces stiff, on-rails content that converts worse than a focused one. Over-specification kills the native feel that makes UGC work.
Use the One-Page Brief template instead:
— The single job to be done (one sentence).
— Audience + the exact pain they're scrolling past.
— 3 non-negotiables (claims, legal, brand-safe words).
— 3 hard "do nots."
— One reference clip for vibe, labeled "tone, not script."
Everything else is the creator's lane. If a line isn't a non-negotiable or a do-not, it doesn't belong in the brief.
Save this. Standardize on one page and watch revision rounds drop.
