Claim your knowledge panel

Today's lesson: a knowledge panel — the info box on the right side of search showing a name, photo, and facts — can be officially claimed once Google links it to you.

Think of it as a verified name tag for your brand or yourself.

Your steps:
1. Search your name or brand. If a panel appears, look at the very bottom for a small "Claim this knowledge panel" link.
2. Click it and sign in with a Google account tied to an official profile of yours (like your YouTube or Search Console).
3. Follow the verification prompts, then you can suggest corrections to wrong facts.

Claiming doesn't let you write whatever you want, but it does let you flag errors and add official links.
